For Immediate Release
On 06/18/2019, West Division officers were dispatched to the 7600 block of Camp Bowie  Blvd. W. Blvd. in reference to a shooting call.  Upon arrival, officers encountered a male suspect attempting to leave the scene in the reported suspect vehicle.  The suspect was stopped by responding officers.  Upon making entry into a motel room, a deceased person was located on the floor
Information was released early in this investigation stating that the deceased person was wrapped in plastic wrap and located in a bathtub. This information was inaccurate and should not have been disseminated.    
Unidentified at this time.  Positive identification and cause of death will have to be made by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.  
FWPD Homicide is actively investigating this incident and we will try to release additional information in the future so long as it does not compromise the integrity of the investigation.
