Two traffic stops led police to recover marijuana and methamphetamine in South Texas.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with four people inside on Oct. 4. Police said they found 36.5 pounds of marijuana inside several backpacks.

The discovery of marijuana led to the arrest of Daniel Regaldo, 30, Alfonso Cisneros, 30, Israel Sanchez, 32, and Frank Hernandez, 36. All of the men were charged with possession of marijuana and transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility.
